ENCUENTROS CON LA POLICÍA EN PÚBLICO
1. I HAVE THE RIGHT TO REMAIN SILENT.
I choose to remain silent and exercise my right not to answer questions.
TENGO DERECHO A GUARDAR SILENCIO.
Elijo permanecer en silencio y ejerzo mi derecho a no responder preguntas.
2. I DO NOT CONSENT TO ANY SEARCH.
I do not consent to a search of my person, vehicle, or belongings.
NO DOY MI CONSENTIMIENTO PARA NINGÚN REGISTRO.
No doy mi consentimiento para que registren mi persona, vehículo o pertenencias.
3. AM I BEING DETAINED, OR AM I FREE TO GO?
If I am not being detained, I would like to leave now.
¿ESTOY DETENIDO(A) O PUEDO IRME?
Si no estoy detenido(a), deseo retirarme ahora mismo.
4. IF I AM ARRESTED, I WANT TO SPEAK WITH AN ATTORNEY.
I wish to remain silent and speak with an attorney before answering questions.

02 — ENCOUNTERS WITH AUTHORITIES AT HOME

1. KEEP THE DOOR CLOSED.
Stay calm. You may speak to officers through the closed door. Ask who they are and why they are there.
MANTÉN LA PUERTA CERRADA.
Mantén la calma. Puedes hablar con los oficiales a través de la puerta cerrada. Pregunta quiénes son y por qué están ahí.
2. I DO NOT CONSENT TO YOUR ENTRY OR SEARCH.
I do not consent to you entering or searching my home.
NO DOY MI CONSENTIMIENTO PARA QUE ENTREN O REGISTREN MI HOGAR.
No doy mi consentimiento para que entren o registren mi casa.
3. IF YOU HAVE A WARRANT, PLEASE SHOW IT TO ME.
Please show it through a window or slide it under the door so I can review it. A judicial warrant is issued by a court and signed by a judge or magistrate.
SI TIENEN UNA ORDEN, POR FAVOR MUÉSTRENMELA.
Muéstrenla por una ventana o pásenla por debajo de la puerta para que pueda revisarla. Una orden judicial es emitida por un tribunal y firmada por un juez o magistrado.
4. AN ICE ADMINISTRATIVE WARRANT IS NOT THE SAME AS A JUDICIAL WARRANT.
An immigration warrant signed by an ICE or DHS officer is not, by itself, a judicial warrant authorizing entry into a private home without consent.
UNA ORDEN ADMINISTRATIVA DE ICE NO ES LO MISMO QUE UNA ORDEN JUDICIAL.
Una orden migratoria firmada por un oficial de ICE o DHS no es, por sí sola, una orden judicial que autorice la entrada a una vivienda privada sin consentimiento.
5. I CHOOSE TO REMAIN SILENT.
I am exercising my right to remain silent. I do not wish to answer questions.
ELIJO PERMANECER EN SILENCIO.

6. IF OFFICERS ENTER, DO NOT PHYSICALLY RESIST.
Stay calm. Do not run, fight, or physically interfere. You may state clearly that you do not consent to the entry or search and that you wish to remain silent.
SI LOS OFICIALES ENTRAN, NO TE RESISTAS FÍSICAMENTE.
Mantén la calma. No corras, pelees ni interfieras físicamente. Puedes expresar claramente que no das tu consentimiento para la entrada o el registro y que deseas permanecer en silencio.

La ACLU específicamente recomienda mantener la puerta cerrada, pedir ver la orden a través de una ventana o por debajo de la puerta, no resistirse si los agentes entran por la fuerza y no firmar documentos sin hablar antes con un abogado.
